With 40+ years of experience as a physician and educator, Dr. Vasudevan Namboothiri is a distinguished figure in Ayurveda. After graduating with top honors from Kottakkal Ayurveda College in 1978, he trained under renowned clinician Ashtavaidyan E.T. Neelakandan Moos. Dr. Namboothiri obtained a postgraduate degree in Kayachikitsa (General Medicine) in 1981, ranking first in the KPSC.

Throughout his career, he held prominent positions such as Principal and Medical Superintendent of the Government Ayurveda College and Hospital, Director of Ayurveda Medical Education, and State Programme Manager of the National Rural Health Mission.

Dr. Namboothiri has received several prestigious awards, including the Good Service Entry award in 2009, the “Best Teacher Award” from the Government of India in 2016, and the “Best Doctor” Award from the State Government of Kerala in 2019. He has also made significant contributions as a member of CCIM and the Scientific Advisory Board of CCRAS. Notably, Dr. Namboothiri has guided 62 postgraduate thesis works, demonstrating his expertise in Ayurveda.
